Innovative ideas for Agile done well
Who we are
AgilePDX is a community of independent agile practitioners, enthusiasts, and agile-aspiring hearts and minds located in Portland, Oregon, with a community view throughout Cascadia.
We were founded in 2000 as XPDX and became AgilePDX in 2008. Since then, we have provided free, high-quality, community-based agile-focused education and networking in the greater Portland area. In 2017, we began to experiment with making our programs available throughout Cascadia, also known as the Pacific Northwest.
We see Portland as a world-class leader in technology, business agility, and the broader creative economy. We define “world-class” to mean profitable, sustainable, and joyful.
We will create a vibrant and thriving Agile community of practice in the greater Portland metropolitan area by sharing real-world experience, distilled wisdom, and innovative ideas for Agile done well.
Inclusion at AgilePDX
We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of the level of experience, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, or other similar characteristics.
Events are one thing.
Finding your community is another.
AgilePDX is a proud supporter of the Future of Work Portland annual Open Space conference. FOW PDX was launched as a collaboration between AgilePDX, Lean Portland, and Responsive, with Agile Open Northwest support. We explore the synergies between these communities and provide a forum for constructively influencing the future of work in Portland in alignment with these communities' values and practices. We proudly support and provide a Slack channel in our Slack community for Portland Lean Coffee and Drinks, a discussion group that spontaneously organizes its always animated conversations using the Lean Coffee method. Portland Lean Coffee and Drinks meets the first Sunday of each month. Attend their events by replying to their posts on our MeetUp group.
